Gas bottle holder

Post by Donkey »

Hi

Is there any negative effect if a gas bottle holder is mounted horizontally?

Regards

Tumelo, there is no problem mounting the holder horizontally, however there is a problem carrying a gas bottle in that holder horizontally

Taken from the CADAC website "The cylinders for instance, should always be stored in the upright position to prevent leakages from occurring at the valves. If the cylinders are not stored in the upright position dangerous gas pockets can form, posing the risk of explosion."
"I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realise that what you heard is not what I meant."

You also stand a chance of the bottle falling out of the holder. I have personally seen one fall out of a horisontal bracket on a trip :!:

Thanx for the response, I thought I'd first ask, eventullually space becomes sooooooo precious and one starts to look at even the smallest/weirdest of corners to use. :shh:
