Winch instalasie

Post by Bushwacker »

How many mounting points did you use, what I did on my front bumper was use the higher body mou nts as extra support brackets, I used solid steel spaces instead and when winching these extra two higher supports give that added strength and piece of mind that I will not pull the bumper off.

I like your support fish brackets on your mounting plate, at least you used nice suitable thick material for that application, you did a very nice job, only problem, now will be to find the time to do all the orders that you will get from everybody here when they want you to manufacture and fit one to their vehicle's.

the existing bumper was already made for a mazda drifter and i converted it to fit the lux, the cost for the steel to make the winch box as well as the rest of the mountings came to
R500.00, there are also 12 mounting points on the chasis. 6 per side.

I pulled the vehicle up a 45 digree slope for about 25 meters and the bumper didn't even move, I am happy with it's performance, seems to be ok so far.
