Engine mountings

Hallo julle.

Ek het verlede maand my flange gasket vervang omdat die gelek het.
Die naweek het ons gaan kamp en Sputnik toe weer nie krag om byna teen opdraendes op te ry nie.

Ek besluit toe om hom maar weer terug te vat (Supaquick) sodat hulle kan kyk wat fout is....
Weer is die gasket in sy pieekie in!

Die outjie se toe dat dit my engine mountings kan wees wat die vibrasie veroorsaak en so die gasket beskadig - die "knocking" van die uitlaatpyp teen die gasket.

Klink dit na die waarheid?
As dit wel die geval is, wat kos die storie om dit te vervang?

Ek gaan myne binnekort laat doen by Allen (Hoppy op die forum). Volgens hom is dit n maklike job en die generic mounts is blykbar so R200 elk teenoor R1500 elk vir Toyota se eie.

Maak seker dat daar n "braided flex" op die front pipe is, en ook die bracket teen die bell-housing, die mounts kan ook n verskil maak, maar as hy so gou weer blaas, eerder die eerste twee

Daar is definitief braided flex op, maar weet nie van die bracket nie.

Kan n non-Toyota gasket ook die probleem wees?
Ek is ook gese om spring washers te gebruik saam met nuwe boute....
Kyk, ek sal enige iets op die oomblik doen om die ou Sputnik weer te he . :beg:

Ok, die probleem was toe die bracket.

Omdat ek n "SAC stage 1 conversion" het, wat basies n "freeflow" uitlaatpyp is wat die pyp baie dukker maak, was die oorsprong van my probleem.

Die vraag is...hoekom was daar nie n SAC bracket opgesit met die "conversion" nie. Was dit dalk om nog geld uit Jan publiek te maak?

Nodeloos om te se, Supaquick het een vir my gebou vir R250 met n gasket!!
En Sputnik....hy is weer homself.
