5L REPLACED BY KZTE/D4-D

Post by diesel »

Hi

Anybody know if the KZTE/D4-D will fit on the 5L engine mounts or will that have to be changed? Will it fit the 5L bell housing?

Any info would be appreciated. :?:

HI Schalk, welcome to the forum!

As far as I know, the engine mounts are the same, but Alan (Hoppy) here would be the man to answer your question.

hi Schalk, might be a little late :eh:
My conversion 5L to KZ was just finished a short while ago, and no, The engine mounts will need slight mods to fit the KZ motor - moved forward or something.
About the bellhousing I'm not sure, but I might find out soon - my KZ box is not right...

Hi Floris

I have a 3L 5L 1999 TD and would like my next engine also to be KZTE but would like to know couple of things

1) What need to be changed on lux to fit KZTE Engine
2) What is your diesel efficiancy at the moment compared to your 5l engine
3) "if I may" How much did it put you back financially to do the convertion? or should I rahter just sell the 5l and buy KZTE?

I really dont want to sell it.. Everybody on the website is telling me what *a* engine I have espesialy with the T fitted(done by toyota) But my Lux is pretty awesome...bit slow but its got talk even with 250 000 KM on the clock... I believe prevention is better than cure so if the pawpaw hits the fan I can make a plan and pop in KZTE....If it fits my budget...

Dont waste time and money on a KZTE rather use A WL2.5 TD MAZDA engine . It is alot cheeper with more performance {I know I had one ] in my Ford ranger before I put the LEXUS .I can asisst you with abell housing aswell.Give me a ring on 0837521655
