Try the usual names and see what they have:

LA SPORT - http://www.lasport.co.za/

Depending on your mechanical knowledge and if you have the correct tools, you could manufacture your own and fit them as well, but you must also remember that if you have some mods on your vehicle, this will also change the design of the plates as well.

Try and phone the owner of for-fours, Charles Pearce. He makes a very good product.

There's a flimsy factory type bash plate on my SFA under the engine attached to the underside of the chassis, fitted by the guys who did my conversion . I'll take some pics of it just for interest sake. With the height of my Hilux, I don't think it will help prevent damage.

With my Hilux been an IFS model, i think that the bash plate is important. My hilux is fitted with an ARB bumper, will this be a problem to get a bash plate?

Yip, I've seen that bash plate on Bryan's bakkie, a very good piece of kit as I've already mentioned.

Justin, I'm goig to Bavs tomorrow with the lux and then I'm bringing it back to PE for while, so you'll see, touch, smell and HEAR it soon. It's still way down on the power, and still don't know where the problem lies. The oke who worked on it is just very busy on other work now, so I'll give him a while to sort out his things.

Malcolm,

Did you eventually ever fit bash plates to your Hilux? I'm sort of considering it as well, just wonder if they get in the way when draining old sump oil.

Charlie Brown,

It might be useful to members if you posted some photos of your products (Hilux specific) over here:

Piet also has a loose agreement with certain manufacturers for nominal discounts for forum members, who will have to identify themselves as such in order to qualify for same.

Although the SAC intercooler mod seems to reduce the clearance under the nose, it actually fits in the same space as the nudge bar. I was very impressed with the durability and strength of the air duct now acting as a bash plat during my trip in Nam in 06. Afterwards, I was amazed to find not a single dent despite some serious hits. I also was very impressed with the cross member of the IFS, that thing is very hard!
