Re: 2.5D4D intercooler
cooler air = cooler engine = GOOD .... :)
and a few more extra horses ..... :) :)
Intercooler = 6k
but since you are now playing - free flow the exhaust .....
now chip and tune =3k
PS - exhaust was done today, chip and tune next week ..... can FEEL the difference the free flow makes !!

Re: 2.5D4D intercooler
prices are in my previous post.
Only item I can add - I also had an EGT fitted, 2k for the unit and fitment
Intercooler - I only did a few kilos in town with the intercooler, before taking it to Hoppy for the Exhaust. Dont want to comment on the "effect" of the intercooler on pwer - as it is just too easy to fool yourself and start feeling stuff that does not actually exist ..... :)
Free flow exhaust - not fooling here !! a MARKED improvement ! The 2,5 in standard trim is slow out of the blocks (thats putting it nicely), something around 2500 to 3000 rpm and then nothing. With the freeflow (replacing the BIG silencer with a freeflow box, NOTHING else) it is better out of the blocks, power starts earlier AND carries on past 3500rpm (did not have an opportunity to push it further)
PLEASE NOTE - with the cooler air of the intercooler, AND the better breathing of the freeflow the original mapping is NOT optimised !!
if you take the chip wired in permanantly it is about 3k, IF you want the chip that can be unplugged - it costs more ....
back to the "feeling" - the true feeling of the work done to date will only be available after the chip .... will give more feedback next week.

Re: 2.5D4D intercooler
just came back from a site meeting - half way UP Plattekloof hill I realised I am still in 5th gear, still doing 120km/h ..... ONLY reason I slowed right at the top was the guy in front of me could not keep his speed ....
removing that BIG silencer box makes a BIG difference !!
baie dankie Hoppy :)
