Fender flares - Arctic Truck Style

Post by CasKru »

This weekend I saw this Hilux with Arctic truck like fender flares and it really looked nice. So I though I would post it here should someone be interested in doing this mod to his Vigo. As I understand they have a version for Fortuners in the pipeline.

Yip, looked pretty good, except 35's would have looked better. I actually asked Dewi for a quote, not that I want it, but to get an idea of price as there are many guys looking for this :wink2:

Will update one I have received a reply

Those wheels were way to small for them flares.

The work is really well done.

Email from Dewi
Hi Mark,
Thank you for your e-mail.
The kit can be fitted DIY, will need someone with a bit of experience, you might take bit longer to fit than we do.
The Wheel arch extensions are glued on no drilling of holes on the vehicle is done so as not to impact on any warranty issues.
We can supply them colour coded or in plain primer.
The wheel arch extension fit all Hilux model from 2005 to the current 2012 models. The pre 2012 are a one piece on the front with the 2012 being a 2 piece.
They are manufacture in plastic the same as the original units so need to be sprayed keeping this in mind.
Unfortunately we do not have any good pictures at the moment, we had the photographer at the farm last week end taking pictures, but as yet have not received them from him, we should have then during the week and will send some to you as soon as we have them.
The Pricing as follows.
Kit primer only R7500.00
Kit Colour coded R9500.00
Kit colour coded and fitted R14000.00
Fitting of the kit takes 2 to 3 days as the bonding material needs to dry in stages, the kit needs to be ordered prior to fitting so that they can be colour coded before the fitting can take place.
If I can be of any further assistance please do not hesitate to contact me.
Kind regards,
Dewi Evans.

Sounds fair, a standard hilux fender flair is R2000 each without clips

Daai is debatteerbaar.

Spoken like a true ambassador of the Hilux club!!

My choice as well, besides my lux will not like it if she knows I spend money on someone other than her to increase flare size!

You can find larger than OEM fender flares here, and they are only $300 for the 4 piece set, and ship worldwide; http://www.junglefenderflares.com/shop
Also, you can get them in regular or pocket style!

Hi everyone,

sorry for reopening an old post, but i thought I would see if you had any questions regarding the afritrux.
Below you will see the 1st image is with the wider rims and standard tires.

Below you will see the differences between my truck and 2 other trucks. One with the aftermarket bumper (left) and one with the full kit with bigger rims and everything (right). My truck is in the middle with just the wider wheel archers and rims.
