Hi,
Has anyone here removed the Leather covering from their steeringwheel?
Mine is badly worn, and I was thinking of removing the leather completely.
(did it on a honda ballade once many moons ago, under the leather was a standard vinyl steeringwheel of the lower spec model)
I suspect that the previous owner had one of those steeringwheel covers on it, it is worn on the outer edge all the way around.
I can have it re-covered @ R1300, or re-deyed @ R400 (re-deying will probably not last either)

Re: Hilux Leather Steering Wheel
I wouldn't pull the leather off.
why not get another cover or try finding another one with the same colour but better condition at scrap yard. also I'm sure if you shop around you will find cheaper to recover than R 1300 (which sounds very expensive)
