Evening all.
I was thinking of fitting a pyrometer (EGT meter) on my lux to monitor the gas temps.
My question is where to source a gauge. I've been to autostle and they only have one sort of gauge available and it's not what I'm looking for.
Has anyone fitted theses gauges and can recommend a good well priced gauge.
Pyrometer EGT gauge.

I'm installing one of these in my dads fortuner the coming weekend. Madman is way too expensive in my opinion. Ordered it online and got it delivered in 3 weeks. Have a look at the dimensions. Its the perfect size.
Will add some pictures of the install.
The other option is to build one yourself. I built a complete engine monitoring system for my KZ-TE.
One arduino + oled screen. Gives my water temp, egt temp, turbo pressure, oil prssure, oil temp, outside temp, post intercooler temp and more. Still cost less than the madman.

Hi Johan,
Please provide more info, on your KZ-TE system.
I would definitely be interested in that.

Re: Pyrometer EGT gauge.
I am very happy with Madman, the mad woman can not bugger up the sytem now
I like madman, ONE gauge for all and its an aircraft type gauge. It will squeal if there is an issue with any of the parameters you set. You dont need to sit there and monitor 5 different gauges
Currently I monitor using the EMS 2:
EGT
Volts
Oil pressure
Oil Temp
Water temp
Water presence is available but not monitored
It also runs an hour meter.
Boost is on a different gauge as i use that to regulate my fuel consumption and need to see what is hapening at blink of an eye.
The cost to me was R4500 and worth every cent as the wife is technology impaired, will react to a squeal but will not monitor a gauge!
Horses for courses I suppose
