D4D Pavement rider to a true 4x4
After I bought my D4D I quickly realized that I would have to get Hudson (My D4D) ready for a safari so I fitted the following :D :D
-Canvas Canopy
-Rooftop tent
-Duel battery sys
-Engel fridge freezer
Right now I can go on safari then after this I took Hudson to a track NO!!! bad idea I quickly learned the Bridstone H/T tyers is a no no off-road :x :x and that the approach angel was ridiculous with the Toyota nudge bar on :x and the bakkie was to low. Now this cost me some money again second session to fit goodies
-OME Suspension
-Cooper STT 31'x10.5'x15'
-B-Con costum replacement bumper
-Safari snorkel
- B-Con Rock Sliders
Right sure now I am kitted out yes :D :D and no the bakkie was a different monster after the tyers and suspension and almost nothing could stop it :D :D except mud that is, and I needed some more stuff for safaring.
-T Max Winch
-Roof rack
-Radiator & Sump protection plates
-Petrol tank protection plate
-Load bin draw system
-Fridge Slid system
- B-Con tow bar with Double Spare Wheel Carrier
-Spareweel tank
-Water Tank
- Spotlights and brackets on roof
- Modifications to canopy
I got Hudson back yesterday and WOW he looks amazing in his new suit :D :D and everything is in its place with the draw system and roof rack I really think I have what I always wanted out of my 4x4 now, obstacle ready and safari ready the ultimate machine. That is the transformation of my D4D Santon pavement rider to a true bread 4x4.
I will test everything now and take some photos over the weekend of everything, need do get up a hill somewhere first

Also, very mean and nice looking. Please share with us: Where did you do all these and prices for the different items? My van must also still be kitted out for next year July and therefore I am starting to shop around. Only extras currently is roof rack on can and canopy with enough brackets for the extra groceries, extra power points in the canopy and a proper sump guard. Greetings, Hennie

Dear Pype,
I am "brand new" at this forum.
I am the owner of Hilux DC 3.0 d4d.
And offcourse when I read what you put on your hilux, then I had to registrate on this forem and must ask you few questions.
I also put one your ago:
- OME suspension,
-canopy from ARB
-BFG AT 31'x10.5'x15'
-Front plate from Asfir
Here in Slovenia we are going to Tuniza, Maroco, Libija. Becuase we have near by Italy and from Genova there is ferry to Tunizia.
So I would like to ask you that you send me "prommised" photos and prices for the parts you put on the car.
That I see what is the best to put on, and offcourse that I see price list.
Ok, I know that I have to put Snorkel on, and I would like to change also Rock sliders, and front bumber, and offcourse the last bumper I will remove and put something else. And please also give me suggestion about what you recomend to replace or to put on.
Becuase in November I will go first time with my HILUX to Libia and want to prepare it for "safari":):).
Many thanks in advance
Andraz

Ek het met Regard gesels vandag, baie aangenaam.
Ek gaan beslis 'n draai maak daar om bietjie kers op te steek, koffie te drink en te besluit wat gaan gebeur met myne Hilux.
