Does anyone know if it's possible to polish this scratched rim?

Take it to a shop that repairs mag wheels. You will get it back as good as new. I paid R350 at Total Rebuild in Pinetown for a rim refurbishment.

Yes it's possible to 'polish' it out ...... first use a rotary sander starting with about 200 - 300P grit and finish with about 500 - 600P and lastly a burnishing compound. Should shine like a mirror, but you cannot leave it like that .... you have to re-spray the rim. ;-)
When your road comes to an end ...... you need a HILUX!.

Thanks for all the replies
It looks like I should rather take it to the "professionals".
I'll give the Wheel Service a call.
What you mentioned there Andy sounds scary for me to do.

I was hoping someone would say - just use Brasso :D:
