Afternoon guys,
So I've decided to take on the task of recovering my head liner with vinyl.
I know how to remove the liner and all that jazz.
I'm going to use contact adhesive to glue the vinyl onto the liner.
Here's my question. What application should I use to apply the glue. I was thinking a foam roller.
Anyone have some tips and advice of what not to do. And how to apply the glue to both the liner and the vinyl.
I've seen a spray into adhesive but I have 5l of contact in the garage I'd prefer to use.

Contact adhesive is most probably going to leave a pungent smell for months afterwards?

Possibly F_D.
I've covered smaller items in vehicles and only had the smell for a day or so. I think once the contact cures the smell goes away.
But I do agree that if it does smell I could be high for weeks.

Re: Recovering a head liner
JUST LEAVE THE VEHICLE OPEN OVERNIGHT AND A DAY OR TWO AND THE SMELL WILL NOT EVEN BE NOTICE-ABLE
hot sunny weather helps a lot in getting rid of the smell of the glue...

Re: Recovering a head liner
I have done this before on my old Sierra XR6 I had years back. I just used a piece of plastic to spread it.
Smell lasts about a week or so..
I have seen a spray gun at our local hardware store that is made for the contact adhesive a view years back.
If I remember correctly it was about R450 for it.
