LED reverse ligte

looks NICE
based on experience with other lights I would guess that 2 x 18W LED spots should give a LOT of light !!!
certainly WILL blind any driver behind you if you accidentally switched that on while driving ....

I used a 27w LED work light on my rear bumper/tow bar as a reverse light (the didn't stock the ones you are referring to when I bought mine) and it's awesome. More than enough light when you reverse.
Below is the one I used

I have two of those in my front bumper. The idea was to use it as DRL.
I must switch them off at night as they blind oncoming traffic. They make far more light than the vehicle's dims, but slightly less than the brights.
So for reverse it will be like installing head lights on the rear of your vehicle.

I agree, won't put them on while driving, but with a canopy, I think it will be much easier when reversing.
Is there a wiring diagram for what I want to do using a 3 way switch with 1. lights off 2. auto lights on when in reverse 3. manual operated?

I got a pair of these for the Rav - nice east flush mounting and should give ample light ( I haven't got around to fitting them yet). I won't couple them to the reverse lights, just a manual switch with built-in LED indicator that lets you know when they are on ( same as I did on the SFA). This way you can use them any time you need to.
