Will a 1JZ fit in place of my 2,8d 4X2 d/c?????

Post by Boeta Mac »

dag al my hilux broers.......

ek soek opregte raad asb.ek het a 1996 2,8d d/c, slightly lower than 4X2.Ek wil graag uitvind hoe moontlik dit is om die 2,8d uit te gooi en a 1JZ vvti in te sit? Goet soos :moet daar gesny word?
:pas die 1JZ in die body?
:watter gearbox (manual)?
:waar kry ek a bellhousing en flywheel?
:sal dictator die job doen?
:enige thumb-suck pricing?

Die bakkie sien just about nooit die grondpad nie, en dis ook nie vir racing purposes nie. Dis tot nou toe nog my daily runner.Ek kan net nie myself so ver kry om hom na 9jaar te replace nie.Ek is in die Wes-Kaap,maar ek sal ry om alles bymekaar te kry.

Enige raad van julle ouens wat weet sal waardeer word.

The 7mgte motor fits in the 96 raider and the size is about the same but if I where you would watch out for converting from disel to petrol. If you looking to go for dicktator than you mite as well go and get yourself a loose 7m motor and run it because you will not be getting better fuel consumstion. There is no one out there that is running aftermarket ECU and getting 10 to 13 km per liter....forget it. If i were you I would look at it like this

2.7 Radier or Legend 35 = R 80000.

Its a softer ride than the older shape
Lots of space.
Alot of the wiring is already built in with the petrol model

So R 80000 for the 2.7 + if you would want the mod done it would be another R 80000

So for R 160000 thou you get a killer truck and its unique.

The new shape 2.7 is going for around R 240000 thou and you land up with a flat fuel eating truck.
