You will have more trouble than you would want to have!

Think gearbox, cooling, weight, reliability, etc.

Rather tell us what happened to your truck and someone might be able to help with advice.

A 1HZ 4.2D Cruiser engine complete with all the fittings will be weighing around 200 - 250 kg's. I really don't think that the Vigo Hilux suspension will be able to cope with that and still be high enough and firm enough to do offroading with.

I will not advise to go that route at all as it is going to be a lot more complitcated that initially thought.

The 1HZ engien uses mechanic pump and basic wiring. If you have to modify the Hilux wiring in order to start the vehicle most of your functions like Central locking ect will not work anymore as it is one unit managing everything.

Also the cooling will be way less that sufficient.

Rather fix the turbo as it will be cheaper than contemplating doing a 4cylinder to 6 cylinder conversion. Also the power and torque of the 1HZ compared to the D4D engine is way different and the gearing is accordingly not suitable.
