Questions for Hoppy On a newer model Lux engine conversion
Allan
I see you mention that the Lux with the V8 conversion on sale has ABS brakes and air-bags.
What did you do computer-wise with the ABS and air-bags or does the air-bags, ABS, timing and fuel work from different ECU's so that you could use a after-market ECU to do the timing and fuel

The engine and immobilizer unit shares one harness and ecu, cutting it out and replacing it with an aftermarket unit did not affect anny other electronics

I prefer the lexus in an ifs, you can safely use the power without worying about handling, stability and stopping.
The mechanical noise levels are much lower than the 2.7
The suspension raised 15mm after the conversion, so the motor is lighter
We used the perfect power system, it was a female dog to tune, but never missed a beat in 3 years, says a lot for a system.

Import and in that case a Apexi power FC is the sh*t you want running. Reads all the sensors including knock, tps, maf ....ect. it's plug and play and you can tune it with the hand controller. Set you back around R 8000 but I would say it's worth it. Add up all the computers you have to buy here to run the vvt and and and and when you look again you dont have space left in your load bin because of all the computers Add up the bang shoot and whats the rand total ?
When I upgrade it will be a power FC, same size as my standard ecu box
