D4D in SFA?

Hallo,

Wat is julle raad, kommentaar en voorstelle om my Hilux 4y se enjin met `n D4D engine te vervang?

Ek weet dat dit nie `n klein verandering is nie, maar het nogal gewonder of dit dalk wel saam met `n stel front & rear lockers so te sê `n lekker go anywhere voertuig sal maak nie.

Ek het nou die dag met `n D4D gery en was aangenaam verras. Maar ek verkies my SFA se uitleg, en wheel travel en clearance all round. Dis net die 4y is maar bietjie lui teen 130km/h op die lang pad, veral as die wind waai of daar opdraandes is.

Ek wil nie `n L/Cruiser 70 S/W gaan koop nie. Niks fout met hulle nie, maar dis te veel geld.

Ek hou net baie meer van die SFA se Voorkoms. :D Dit bly darem `n mooi 4x4 voertuig.

Baie mooier as `n LR, :lol: en `n SFA merk nie sy gebied nie, :lol: :twisted: hy besit die hele plek. :lol:

LR moet sy plek merk om te wys waar hy gebreek het en hoeveel keer. :lol: :lol:

Watter D4D? Ek stem vir die 1VD-FTV! 4,5 liter V8 turbo diesel: 173kW@3200 rpm; 615Nm @ 1800-2200 rpm... Ai, klink mos net reg vir 'n SFA.

JOhann,

Nou praat jy maar dit gaan meer as `n LC 70 S/W kos. Ek wil eintlik die Hilux 3.0D4D engine insit, en dan wil ek die intercooler grooter maak en `n 2de een voor in die bumper mount, die Head gasflow, en `n ceramic roller bearing turbo invoer en fit. Wil probeer om so 150 Kw te kry met lekka lae boost met minimale turbo lag.

En `n lekker koel EGT .... en gee oorverhitting nie. en dan kan ek 800 km + op `n tenk ry.....

Wil lekker gat skop en baie pret hê.

Ek dink die gaan 'n interessante projek wees. Ek het gekyk na die 2.7i VVTI, maar dit was nie moontlik nie asgevolg van al die sensors wat gekodeer is om die "parte en die chassis" saam te hou. Weet nie of die D4D dieselfde probleem gaan he nie. Indien nie, sal dit seker een van die beste ombouings wees.

Onthou net, as jy nie 'n diesel SFA het nie, gaan jy ook na die diff ratio's moet kyk.

JohanM, weet jy al waar gaan jy n D4D enjin kry en wat jy vir hom gaan betaal?

Het nou die dag met n ou gepraat wat reken, as ek reg onthou, hy kry 180 KW uit sy 3.0D4D uit.
Sal weer bietjie by hom gaan kuier en hoor hoe hy dit gekry het.

Riaan,

Daai 180 Kw is seker met `n chip upgrade asook `n turbo upgrade. Ek weet SAC doen dit op die D4D.

Ek weet ook hoe hulle die diesels so sterk kry. Dit gaan oor fuel, boost & timing. Maar hulle is lief om die goed te strek te maak dan breek hulle op hoe kilo's. Ek het die self created breakages gesien in die workshop.

Sien ek wil net so +/- 150 - 160 kw max tap. Die sfa is nie gebou om vinniger as 140 te ry nie, alhoewel dit groot pret is om `n KB 280DT te jaag op 140 as sy stoom begin opraak.... :twisted: :lol:

Ek het gedink om `n wrak te koop, met alles in en dan te transplant na myne toe. Dan is dit maklik met alles.

Anders net die enjin, tank, pomp, ECU, slotte en sleutels en die verkoeler met di fan.

Ek moet in elkgeval nog eers daai geld maak voor ek dit kan spandeer.

Het gedink dis wat jy sal doen, wrak koop.

Off topic: hoe kan ek my 2.5D4D bietjie sterker maak? Net met chip en intercooler?

Riaan, ja maar wees versigtig dat hulle hom nie over tune nie.

Sekere kere is die voertuig klaar bo spec en dan om die % gain te kry dan over tune hulle hom en.......nie te lank nie dan pak hy op, want hy overheat internal. Nie water temp overheat nie, maar combustion chambers wat kraak en daai dinge. Is nie mooi prentjie nie.

Die uitlaat sal nie so groot verskil maak nie, hou by chip en die intercooler. Oppas ook net vir jou waarborg, want hulle mag dit kanseller as jy met dit enjin & elektronika begin verander.

Het baie sulke gevalle gehad by Delta.

Isuzu = I Sue you. (o ja en Ek breek middel deur..!!!! ) :lol: :twisted:

Johan, hoekom de duiwel soek jy meer as dit? Daai See en Sand bakkie van jou is nie ontwerp om vinniger as 120km/h te haal nie, veral nie met body lifts, suspension lifts, long travel shocks en groter tyres nie. Die ding staan so. Ek wil nie `n warm gemaakte "rattle trap" aka City Golf koop en ry nie. EK wil net die bakkie `n lekker lang afstand voertuig maak wat gemaklik op die ooppad met sy vrag kan loop. En dan ook as dit nou moet, wel die lang trokke gemaklik verbysteek. Ek wil net hom die beste allrounder voertuig maak wat y kan wees. En daar is baie potensiaal om dit te doen.

Ek het selfs die KZ engine oorweeg met `n intercooler op. Hy behoort ook lekker te loop.

Ek wil nie vinniger as 130 ry nie, maar ek wil probeer om op daardie snelheid met `n Lekker sterk turbo diesel so 9 km/l te average.

Natuurlik sal hy baie baat met `n sterk diesel enjin in, veral in die veld, maar selfs met die 4y is hy nie daar te sleg nie. Dis net om rustig te kan ry op die langpad met baie reserwe as ek dit nou nodig het.

Kyk ek sal bietjie vir jou `n foto post van as ek haastig raak.

Kyk ne... as jy nou wil praat van haastig raak.

Ek het 'n video clip gesien van 'n ou op 'n bike wat so teen 298km/h sleep (volgens sy digital speedometer) op sy Hyabusa (GSX 1300R - Suzuki). Dan op daai oomblik kom daar 'n ander vark van agter af verby hom op sy agter wiel :shock: :shock: :shock: Bleikbaar 'n turbo-aangejaargde Hyabusa :shock: :shock: :shock:

Johan, ek's met jou! Ek wil ook net gemaklik die lang pad kan slaan en ry waarheen ek wil. Ek wil nie jaag nie, maar ek wil darem 'n trok kan verby gaan sonder om 'n 2km aanloop te vat!

EK sal bietjie die foto post vir jou, moet eers bietjie gaan kyk waar ek hom gebere het.

Johan, ek het gedink dat as ek `n KZTE inbou voor met die ratio's reg, behoort ek met `n Dual intercooler en chip, darem lekker te kan ry met mooi diesel verbruik.

Ek hy behoort mooi te lyk met `n D4D scoop op die enjinkap. Daar is baie werk wat ek wil doen as ek dit aanpak. Die hele front end word oorgebou, met `n spesiale buffer/Bullbar integrated, met die ligte in en als

Ek het die KZTE's gery, en op 120 km/h loop hulle so teen 2600 rpm.

Dis wat ek wil hê, met lekker woema om verby te gaan. En dan wil ek agter op die ou Diesel sticker plak. Sommer net om snaaks te wees.

I think it would be nice match however I think the D4D motors are still a little expensive
unless one can get a complete setup froma scrap yard if you have a few conections :mrgreen:

Dit was darem op `n ligte afrdraande geneem, maar met die nuwe sous prys moet ek maar so 110-120 km/h ry. Dsarem het ek dan tyd om rond te kyk en self foto's te neem in die ry.

Thys jy hoef nie bekommerd te wees nie, ek het nou die Canopy op, en dit maak hom so bietjie stadiger, al hoewel, hy ry nou heelwat lekkerder met dit op sy gat.

Ja as ek so ry dan kry ek maar net so 6 km/l gemiddeld. Maar ek kla nie dis maar net info vir julle om te weet.

Ek ry oor 2 weke terug FS toe, maar dit sal geduldig wees dan want hy gaan heelwat vra dra, en ek wil probeer om so 13.5l/100 te kry.

Ek soek nou al 2 maande na n 30 D4D om in te sit, het die ding nou al goed bekyk en dit lyk
nie te moelik nie. Die elektriese deel sal die meeste werk wees. Het n 2de handse enjin met kompleet haarnas en
computer gekry vir R18 000 maar die sleutel is weg en hy aktiveer die computor, die sleutel kit kos R10 000 by
die agente. Hier is n firma in Bloem wat al 2 sulke ombouings gedoen het, kan hulle no vir jou kry as jy belangstel.
