Okay, so here are the first pictures...

In the first one you can see the stance on the custom suspension and 35" tyres.

The second pic shows the new bullbar. Sorry it's not really clear and I'll add another pic a bit later.

This is the new dashpod with 3 new Autogauge gauges - Oil Pressure, Water Temperature and Volts

I'll post some more pics later on

I notice you have double shock mounts but are using only one shock. Is that because two are too stiff? What's the axle ariculation like with the suspension mod?

Blom made the shock posts to accept double shocks, but there was just no way to mount them at the bottom without the wheels catching on them. A great big pity...

But the wheels are still catching on the chassis in the back during hectic articulation and on the springs in front when you turn the wheels full lock, so I have ordered some spacers and maybe, just maybe we will be lucky and the double shocks will then work...

I haven't tested the articulation to it's full potential, but I can tell you it's quite hectic!

I know a standard lux flexes well, but this one is off the chain!

We'll take some pics this weekend at RDW and post it next week.

I will take a nice side view foudie just now and post it as well.

The new 4 link in the rear. You can also see the battery's new resting place...

The new rear disc brake conversion

The modified rear towbar - notice how close it sits to the body, so as not to impede departure angle

Here you can see how the towbar was modified after the bodylift

(And no it is not only held by one bolt per side!

)

That sticker stays. I was playing with an A3 2.0Turbo in the week and the look on that guys face when I out accelerated him was priceless.

Anyway just got back from RDW and except for a few teething problems (fuel pump overheated and gave me fuel starvation and the coil jumped off it's perch once during extreme articulation... :wth: ) I can honestly say I've NEVER driven something as capable before. There was only one obstacle where I actually had to think which line to take, but the rest was all just idled over...

I can honestly say after this weekend that the best mod you can EVER do to your truck is.....

I can tell you running on 35" muds is like having dual lockers. It is awesome - the ground clearance just allows you to take almost any line you please. That's also why I dropped a coil - we were coming down the mountain and I was taking the most difficult line I could, to just see what my baby could do when I outflexed the capacity of the spring...

All I can say is awesome. Awesome! AWESOME!!!! There needs to be a few tweaks in the next few weeks, so watch this space, as there is more to come...

Sorry, Blomma, ek wou jou nog bel, maar toe reken ek jy vang dalk 'n middag slapie... Dis moeilik om te sê, want ek het amper heeldag gery sonder probleme en toe vrek hy net in die berg. Ek het 'n lappie natgemaak en om hom gedraai en dan was hy weer fine tot die lappie droog was. Dit was berg op, af en op gewone grondpad, maar soos ek sê, ek het heeldag geen probleme gehad nie. Het toe maar so die laaste uur of wat gery tot by die kamp en hom oornag gelos en vandag het hy weer geen probleme gehad nie.

P.S. Daai trokkie hardloop kouer as 'n Arktiese windjie, hoor! Op die snelweg klim hy nie oor 60 grade en in Crawler 1st het hy so tussen 80 en 85 grade gebly
