Boetamac wanna go Lexus

Post by Boetamac »

I am considering going Lexus in my 4x2 hilux 2,8d DC.

a couple of concerns: will it fit firstly,? The 4x4 guys do bodylifts for it to fit?

Which sump do i look for? Front sump,or rear sump???

any advice would be apreciated....

Mike's Place got the 1uz-vvt going for R9500. Same price as the non vvt 1uz.

is there any tuning problems or difficulties going vvt?

Go OE(original Ecu) on the VVTi. Note the Ecu will learn to adapt to let the engine set itself for the best ride given it is the complete engine and gearbox.

If you go aftermarket I do not think the aftermarket Ecu's is ready or in a way suited for the VVTi yet.

I am down in Cape Town, and the three places importing them does not do wired-up units. If VVTi has these potential issues should i not rather opt to go 1uz-FE?

Any opinions on this idea?

But spitronics does mos a VVTi kit? Does these kits work properly?
