So my vraag is hoekom baie mense teen die 7M turbo is....van die mense se hul breek die drivetrain maar hy maak minder as n 1UZ(power output is 191 kW (256 hp), torque of 353 N·m (260 lb·ft)) vs 7MGTE (Output was 173 kW (232 hp) at 5600 rpm and 325 N·m (240 ft·lb)). Ek gaan 7M turbo in stock formaat loop omdat ek nie te ver agter die V8 wil wees nie en omdat ek n spaar engine het :laugh2:. Ek wil graag hoor wat se julle

Plenty of info on this from the early days of the forum. Basically, the power was too potent for the handling & braking capabilities with the 7M Turbo engine installed in a SFA.

Trying to recall the username of the guy - he eventually sold the SFA and is no longer on the forum.

Baie Goeie engine !!! Dis seker maar omdat hy so laaaaaank is dat ons die Lexus nou gebruik wat so wyyyyd is. V8 klink dalk beter ????? en is cheap.

Chris, 7MGTE en 2JZTE is belaglik vining in platkarre. Soos jyself sal weet met jou eie 2JZ.
'n Petrol Turbo in 'n SFA?, jong vir 4x4 is nie te aanbevel nie.

Andy are you referring to Jaco "Spartan" that had a 2JZTE??

Ok ek hoor wat hulle sê, maar die feit bly dat n 1UZ maak meer krak en torque as n 7MGTE....sekerlik sal die 1UZ swaarder op ratkaste wees as die 7M

Sit hom in ,Jy het hom mos hul Klink heel tropies as hul gears change en limit.
Anders moet u na die torques curves op die verskillende RPM gaan kyk en kyk wat werk vir jou.

Ek het nou al bietjie huiswerk gedoen voor ek my projek begin het, was by n lexus ombouer gewees. Daar lê berge SFA ratkaste in sy werks winkel. Hy sê die probleem is nie die ratkas nie maar dis die bellhousings wat nie reg align nie. :naah: Hy beveel toe aan dat ek nie auto box roete moet gaan met die 1uz vvti. :o: Moet n manual insit :shock2:

Ek het die spul karkasse so met n hout oog bekyk en dit wat ek sien sê vir my die ratte is met geweld afgedraai!!!( gestrip) almal van hulle

Dink maar vir jouself, van 70 kw na 216kw (182Nm na 406nm), dit gaan mos nou onmoontlik nie vir altyd hou nie!! As jy poer poer en Sunday driver will wees dan gaan hy dalk n ruk hou, maar as jy soos ek van die klanke hou dan soek ek mos nou vir k_k met n manual ;-)

Daai ratte wat so afgedraai is, is die input shaft....die shaft loop skeef en dan draai hy op die einde van die dag af, dis hoekom as ek n lexus sien met n manual is ek baie skepties

Die ding is meeste van die belhousings is skeef dan druk hy die input shaft skeef dis wanneer hulle breek, maak nie eintlik saak hoe jy ry nie met tyd sal hy breek

Ek verstaan die skewe shaft maar hoe die ratte strip om shaft skeef is maak nie sin!
Bearings breek en dan strip ja, maar as die bearings nog heel is en die ratte is gestrip, verstaan nie daai een nie

Ek gaan probeer verduidelik maar dit is nogal moeilik maar ek sal probeer.....die gearbox het 3 shafts, input, main en cluster shaft, die engine gee die krag aan die input shaft dan gaan dit deur na n stel ratte na die cluster shaft( dit is die ratte wat af draai) en van die cluster na die main shaft wat al die syncros en selectors het so al die ratte behalve 4de loop so( 4de lock net die input en main shaft dit gee jou 1:1). Die input shaft is semi floating ( jy kan dit voel as jy die input shaft kant na kant to beweeg wanneer die boks uit die kar is) die pilot bearing hou die hele ding reguit so as die belhousing n bietjie af is loop jou input shaft skeef en as hy skeef loop dan loop daai eerste paar ratte skeef op mekaar ( hy loop op net die kante van die rat en nie die hele gesig nie) inplaas van 100% kontak maak hy sê nou miskien 30% kontak en n rat is net so sterk soos so swakste tand. Ek hoop ek het jou antwoord geantwoord

Van die belangringste dinge wat skeefloop op so Lexus as jy manual gaan is om die korrekte bellhousing the kry wat 100% reg gelyk is. As dit nie is kan jy veseker wees dat 'n input shaft sal breek. Dit gebeur nie die eerste dag nie, dit kom ewe skielik. Dan is dit tande en dan ook dan die bearing. As dit gebeur ry die bakkie nie eers.

Ook maak nie saak watter gearbox jy gebruik nie, as dit skeef is is dit skeef.

As ek so kyk Na daardie input shaft lyk sit vir my hy't bietjie dors gekry vir olietjies ook.Meeste mense sien ek vandag gooi n gl5 olie in hul kaste wat n Groot NO NO is.
