Re: The Rebuilding and modification of a hilux (Lexus V8)
ok today was going good untill i turned it over by key and found out that it had compression and then lost all its compression and then would not gain it back. so now off come the heads to find out why and also found out that the cams were 180 digress out on the exhaust cams. so i hope to have it back together by the weekend so if anyone has any info on the cam settings under the rocker covers then please can you send it to me as i was sent the wrong info for the setting of the cams. cause i also found out that on compression stroke it would close then as intake closes exhaust would open so thats not good or rite

Looks very nice, I like the duel scoop's at the top.
Wonder if that will be enough space for my intercooler if I had to do something like that.

Re: The Rebuilding and modification of a hilux (Lexus V8)
Anthony.. Sorry but i only got your request for the diagrams this morning.. I have e-mailed you two files of detailed step by step procedure of removal and instalation of the cam shafts.. Let me know if it was what you asked for.. I couldnt put then on the forum as they were 20kb too big. Would actually be good if the forum had a section of information that people could refer too if they looking for torque settings and procedures on various engines that people use in there hiluxes.... spec ect..

Hi there all
The monster truck has been out at shows but has now come back to be repaired.
I have got photo of the new truck all finished and driving, now is the test for the offroad as I have a new model hilux gearbox in it which allows me to shift it into 4x4 at 100km/h . I will be uploading a new form for that truck that I have built

Re: The Rebuilding and modification of a hilux (Lexus V8)
Looking forward to that Anthony! (You've been rather quiet here in recent months! )
When your road comes to an end ...... you need a HILUX!.
Life is like a jar of Jalapeño peppers ... what you do today, might burn your ass tomorrow.
Don't take life too seriously ..... no-one gets out alive.
It's not about waiting for storms to pass. It's about learning to dance in the rain.
And be yourself ..... everyone else is taken!
