Go and buy a Cressida gearbox and when you get home you will see it is basically the saem gearbox as what you currently have, then flog it again and rest assured your current gearbox is good enough. Any gearbox will fail if you abuse it.

Hoop jou diff is lekker want as jy daai 500nm op die wielle sit breek daar gewoonlik iets glo my.

Yes but your W58 box is not going to make it , you need the 1JZ GTE box and bell housing or the 7m GTE box with the 1JZ bell housing it has a pull type clutch. But send me an e-mail then I will give you my brothers number he might be able to help you on where to get I am a bit out of the loop since I am out of country for a while

The "R" type gearbox is the strongest toyota box(NOT 21R), it is used in some Supras, Hilux surf, 7o and 100 series landcruiser and more comonly in our local "KZTE" bakkies. The "R" bell housing-fit on the box side is the same shape, but it's larger than the "W" and "G" series boxes.

The 21R box is not a "R" box, it's a "W" series box.

The "G" series box is used in the 2.7i and is a mix of the "W" and "R",but it has the small bell housing fit ( same as "W").

In this country the 5spd "W" series box was first and more comonly used in the Cressida with the 21R motor and it earned the nickname "21R Box". It was also used in the hilux, hi ace, stalion, venture ETC, but with different tail housings.

Hope this clears it up!
