My 4 pot is running like the clappers... die ding loop lekker! Until that changes and finances become available, the status quo will remain...

I've got a extra 4Y block at home... I'm considering building a 4Y with 3T head as a fun project... a 130kw+ normally aspirated 4Y sounds lekker!

Ek het 'n Hilux 2.7 se radiator gebruik. Vra vir die 99-2003 shape 4x2 se radiator. Met 'n 16'' fan werk hy soos 'n bom.

Ek het 'n Isuzu V6 radiator gebruik agv spasie in my SFA met 2 after market elektriese fans.

Thanx

just got one about two weeks ago, should be fitting it this coming weekend!! nope lexus V8 is not in yet, just dont trust the current radiator, so the new radiator will 1st do duty with the V6, and them it will be there for the lexus already, one less job for later!! hehehe!!

its the one for the older 740i, I am lead to believe!!

the newer ones have a oil cooler built into it!!, self did not want that one!!

as for price!!

paid a few rands over one R1300, yep that is no typo R1300 incl Vat
from Thermal Radiators in Jet Park, the guys are very helpful, if you need the exact radiator code, will look it up, just dont have it in front of me right now!!

hope this helps!! :goodjob:

edit:
yep its brand new!!

Reynhard,

Bosbeer runs a BMW 740 alu radiator with custom built side tanks for extra capacity. We also cut the valance in front to let more air through as well as the wheel arches. He has NEVER run hotter than 80C. Even in 4L for a full day on trail - the petrol starts perculating long before the needle even sees 80C.

I also ran him without a thermostat from Pretoria to Jo'burg and the temperature was constant at 60C.

good request!!!!

as self not quiet sure how to do it yet!!

however already had a pipe made with a radiator cap fitting, (will go get a pic just now!! ) so will have a choice of running a radiator cap or an expansion tank, or maybe even both!!

however would be great to get some other ideas!!

I will take some pics tomorrow and post it. Louis made me some nice brackets to hold it in place.
