Naaahh Eric, "Interceptor" is a Ford thing... It started with Mad Max's black Ford.. and then the Cortina XR6 crowd in SA cottoned on to the "Interceptor" monicker. It wont work on a Chevy.Family_Dog wrote:Grab "The Interceptor" before Ewald paints it on his (new) bakkie!

Use "Mafuta" .... why not, no-one else on this forum is using it .... and besides, there's plenty real life mafuta's around anyway.
When your road comes to an end ...... you need a HILUX!.
Life is like a jar of Jalapeño peppers ... what you do today, might burn your ass tomorrow.
Don't take life too seriously ..... no-one gets out alive.
It's not about waiting for storms to pass. It's about learning to dance in the rain.
And be yourself ..... everyone else is taken!

Nee wat water van die eend se rug af
Re: 1989 SFA d/c "CHEVOTA"
I would simply go with Hilux SS, as in Lumina SS, same badge and style as on the car... Or even Ute-Lux SS? Hilux GTO is another option, but the SS brand is better known in SA...Family_Dog wrote:Kaspaas wrote:Naaahh Eric, "Interceptor" is a Ford thing... Whatever happened to the guy who called his Lux "Hitler" .... I'm sure he'd also like the 'SS' angle!

Re: 1989 SFA d/c "CHEVOTA"
He's now living in Gordons Bay and trying to keep from being blown into the SSea..
Like all the immigrants from "Up Country" he chose to go live by the sea and face the wind and elements around the Cape of Storms.. We locals who were born here and some of the die-hard Vaalies who been here a while, live in the in-land where there is no wind, and then we sit and laugh at the new immigrants complaining about the weather....

I stayed in Pinelands (Forrest Drive) for a while in 1984 ..... enjoyed it, the Cape Doctor never seemed to bother us too much there.
