When your road comes to an end ...... you need a HILUX!.

Life is like a jar of Jalapeño peppers ... what you do today, might burn your ass tomorrow.
Don't take life too seriously ..... no-one gets out alive.
It's not about waiting for storms to pass. It's about learning to dance in the rain.
And be yourself ..... everyone else is taken!

Nothing new, Mark .... I'm trying to get the local forum membership enthused enough that we can organise our own outings as well as attend these type of events. I hope they read this comment! :D:

I was out at Clive Bester's farm this morning together with the guys that were laying out the courses. Even just from a spectator aspect, this event promises loads of thrills. Some of the obstacles for the super-modified's look difficult enough to negotiate on foot let alone in a vehicle, and should it rain on the day, I suspect that we will be watching back to back recoveries.

Clive's own super modified machine, "Obsession II" (the name says it all) which will be entered in the national's later this year is awesome to behold just parked, but vastly more spectacular in action. Bristling with pneumatic and hydraulic gadgetry / controls it looks something imported from the States, but is completely home built. Independently controlled air jackers allow the cab to be tilted in any direction and so shifting the COG.
Numerous other impressive super modified pipe cars will also be in attendance, while Hilux fans should get a kick out of the production classes.

Disappointment is not a possibility, unless you don't attend.
