Suspension Spacer

Post by Johan »

Do you have an outlet in Pretoria to fit these? Also - what affect does it have on the standard shocks - could they bottom out due to the increased extension?

I put aluminum strut spacers in my 2WD Vigo. The shop that installed them was more of an accessory shop than a real mechanical shop and they didn't understand the concept I was explaining about extending the bump stops. The effective lift is about 2 inches although the spacers were only about 1 inch thick. Does anyone know how much the bump stops needs to be extended?

Ek begin nou verstaan hoekom Toyota so baie eise teen hulle kry.

I am also thinking about wheel spacers. Does anyone have any experience with them on this model (2WD Vigo)? I know that they are supposed to put extra stress on front end parts, especially ball joints, but I have heard from many Tacoma owners that nobody seems to have any problems on the 95-04 Tacoma 4x4. Does anybody use them or tried using them on the Vigo 2wd? If so, what size, 1" or 2"? Thanks for any input!

Johan daai spacers werk mooi.
