Thanks for adding me on the forum.
This is my 2000 2700i 4x4 dc, it has 230 000km's on the clock. I am a young man itching to sample some of the splendour Africa has to offer. A friend and I started planning a 3 month overlanding trip about 2 years ago. What started off as a crazy idea by two semi-drunk fools started being a obsession and soon enough I was scanning the classifieds for a car that would suit my needs. I grew up in a house that probably saw at least 6 Hilux/Land Cruisers climb through the ranks and so had obviously decided I want a LUX...
So...about a week ago I finally had the testes to take the plunge and buy a LUX. It was the right model and the right price. Sure he has a few chips and a few dents, the rear dootr doesn't seem to fit the rest of the car, but man, I already love Wessel, thats his name. I mean that in a completely non-homosexual way.
I plan to make Wessel pretty and bush ready for the trip that is scheduled end 2011.
Feels good to finally be part of the family.
