Re: Next Generation Dual Battery controller.
Jeesh Gert, I've just installed and started using the excellent version 1!
On v1 the aux battery connected after 5 minutes, with the v2 I see it's 90secs... why? (plz excuse my ignorance)...
v2... I like the fact that it's got a volts display... price?

Re: Next Generation Dual Battery controller.
The Idea is that you must be able to set your own time. 90 sec was just an example.
I will try and set it from 60 sec to 300 sec. The one I used in the Hilux was set at 60 sec. It worked well for me. When I go to town it took me about 6 minutes to get there and waiting 5 minutes was too long for me. So I set mine to 60 sec.
Price ????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?????????????????
Well I hope to be able to sell them for +\- R450. It is still in the design phase and I struggle to get a good neat enclosure for it.

Re: Next Generation Dual Battery controller.
Cool, on the enclosure side... is your plan to go split unit, control components in one and display in another, to keep the messy stuff out of eye view?? Will I be able to use all my present DB wiring, or will this unit require some sort of rewire?

Re: Next Generation Dual Battery controller.
The idea is to keep it as compact as possible, I will try to use only one box. Modify the wiring to use a plug in system. You will still need the old wiring. Maybe just extend the aux battery pickup to be as close as possible to the aux battery so that you get an accurate voltage reading.

One more thought Gert... yes I know this may be a long shot... any possibly to backlight/illuminate the display... would be cool for low light conditions!

Back light will be standard when any button is pressed. Or would you prefer back light work with the vehicle lights?

Gert, is both not an option, when vehicle lights are on, display's backlight is on... and if vehicle is off and button is pressed, then backlight comes on and unit shows voltage, with auto-off timer... say 10 secs... best of both worlds!
