Hello Hilux people
Hi everyone, Being new here I have a short story
Currently I do not have a Hilux but are looking to get one befor mid December I know i am at the right place to get all the help I can get. Sometimes the vehicle is in the Cape and me being in Roodepoort maybe there are friends down there that can have a look at prospects for me.
I want a 4x4 diesel. Does not have to be d/c. Budget up to R 125 K.
Reading previous posts I am sure the members could advise me what my Rands would be able to buy me.
My previous Vehicle a 2002 Dc Hilux KZTE was stolen end June and I miss her terribly. She was well looked after with 250000 km. Apart from break shoes, cambelt and speedo cable, nothing was replaced. Not rear brakes, not a clutch, not the shocks nothing. Realy a great vehicle. Tyres lasted 100000 km
Apart from Mags no other Modifications made. The Canopy was not fitted when it was stolen.
Light on fuel too> In town 10.7 litres / 100 km. Open road 9.6 liters @ 120.True speed.
The speedo was reading 120 true GPS speed 115.
The kids aree gone and me and Janie wishes to tour Botswana and Namibia with the vehicle. I tow a Unique offroad trailer with Howling moon, That is when I get a Hilux again. The trailet is nice with 100 l Water tank, wired for 220 V gas bottle brackets, Jerry can brackets. Made off Stainless steel and aluminium with two pull out drawers. Nice awning tent and outdoor kitchen area.
Well Let me hear from you manne there
Andre

Re: Hello Hilux people
Welcome Andre! You should be able to find a fairly decent Lux within your projected budget .... keep an eye open on the for sale section, some of the guys also post links to GumTree and other ads. Best of luck in finding a suitable replacement.
When your road comes to an end ...... you need a HILUX!.
Life is like a jar of Jalapeño peppers ... what you do today, might burn your ass tomorrow.
Don't take life too seriously ..... no-one gets out alive.
It's not about waiting for storms to pass. It's about learning to dance in the rain.
And be yourself ..... everyone else is taken!
