New here - hi everyone !
Hi, my name is Steve and recently I bought myself a Hilux Raider 2.4 Petrol (1996) with all sorts of extras. I recently moved to SA from Germany where I had been driving 4x4 as a hobby for many years and have always been the absolute Toyota fan scorning anything else (as the Toyota advert in Germany says "Drive Toyota 4x4 - anything else is a kids birthday party). I have also done some exciting trips to some of the last 4x4 accessable places in Europe - Iceland, Transylvania (Romania), Italian Alps. But soon this will all be over and you will have to go to a so-called 4x4 park to do any real off-road stuff. The rules and regulations in Europe regarding off-road driving are getting tighter and tighter. So we are lucky still to be in a 4x4 paradise here. I haven't done anything exciting here yet but I only took delivery of the vehicle 3 weeks ago and am still sorting out papers etc. I will submit a few pics. But I am looking forward to some good fun out in the wild and here on the forum.

Hi Steve,
Welcome to the family. As it has been said, most of the guys are out of town but you will soon get to know them all. You must post a few of your previous trip pictures as it would be nice to see where you have been as well as a few of your truck.

Welcome aboard, Steve!
When your road comes to an end ...... you need a HILUX!.
Life is like a jar of Jalapeño peppers ... what you do today, might burn your ass tomorrow.
Don't take life too seriously ..... no-one gets out alive.
It's not about waiting for storms to pass. It's about learning to dance in the rain.
And be yourself ..... everyone else is taken!
