Which one will have the best performance and cost wise in the long run ? It's mainly gonna be used in torches ( AA and AAA ).

self have started buying recharge, they can be recharge about a 1000 times, so its claimed
also on torches, and for the GPS, when its on the quad

performance wise, from my limited experience, pretty similar to the good disposable s

On my handheld gps a set of alkalines last between 3 and 4 hours. The rechargeables last between 7 and 10 hours. Rechargeable is definitely the way to go.

Daar is heelwat verskillendes oppi mark, ek het nou die laaste ruk Duracell gekoop, sommer by WW boutique en is baie gelukkig daarmee

Jy kry verskillende mA's 2500 of so is goed, sien mens kry nou groter

Ek het 2 jr laas Alkaline AA batterye gekoop ...

Any spesific brand or make ? I see Builders Warehouse got Uniross kits.

Just keep a list somewhere of the devices (toys) that you have put the rechargeable's in, especially if you have children.

Rechargeable I think is the way to go, and as said above see if you can get a mA rating of 2500 or more, I've seen the brand Uniross but have no experience with them. I'd stick to the other well known brands, Duracell etc, but who knows?

When I bought about 7 yrs ago (maybe even earlier), GP was the brand that was recommended as the best. I bought eight at the time (1800mA was the highest available then). I since bought more on two separate occasions (2500mA and 3000mA) with the 3000mA being the last about 3 yrs ago. All are still going strong but the 1800mA are getting a bit weak now so I use them in things like wireless keyboards / wireless mouse / remotes. I think one of the most important factors is correct rotation of use and keeping them charged.

Almost all the Grand Cells started leaking acid- so they all went. Then used GP as well but they were not around that long then Uniross.

currently using camilion, however have a whole bunch of uniross in our two way radios, and they also seem great

Something to keep in mind is to possibly get a universal charger that can charge D, AA, AAA batteries for the long run

Alkaline is mainly for low current applications, like your TV remote.

Uniross is all I'm using

Just ensure that you buy the correct one, there is a lower current Uniross rechargeable as well. Look on the packaging for the one that is rated for cameras etc

I have a Uniross charger that can do AA & AAA's, and it came with a power supply as well as a Cig lighter cable
