Hilux X-tra cab and baby car seat

Post by Rebel 4x4 »

Okay, here's a funny or weird question. I've got a friend who has one of these vehicles as a "lease" or "factory" vehicle. It's part of a hire scheme the Vehicle Manufacturers call it. I can get his one early in the new year for a good price....

My idea was to upgrade to a double cab next year, as we might start a family, now this pops up..... Can this be done, or has someone done this before (installing baby car seat in a X-tra cab). Logic tells me it's not possible..... but hope it can be done!!!!

have a good look at the licence disc as the vehicle is only licenced for 2 people in the front, it is illegal to fit more seats to a clubcab

I'm thinking there should be some way you can use proper tie downs holding the seat in place.

Will confirm that, thanks Koos.... Otherwise it means the double cab will still come from VW....

Looked now at a 2007 4l 4x4 double cab with 118 000 on the clock.... Suspension lift, 31" BF's, ARB bullbar with winch, snorkel and some other accesories for R199 000 with FSH.....

Ek worry net oor petrol verbruik, diesel ry tog so lekker.....

Voertuie is gelaaien klutch baie gebruik.

a baby seat is actually "long". I doubt it will fit in length wise, and it will be downright DANGEROUS to place it sideways.

In my humble opinion. If it has factory fitted safety belts at the back, by all means, put the baby in the back. If not, DO NOT DO IT. Dit is jou kind se lewe !
