Re: Nuwe oukie!
Thanks guys!
I will not be able to join you this weekend. I travel a lot for work so when I am not in the bush I tend to the garden and house. Thanks for the invite! :)

Ouens maak reg as ek verkeerd is.

Re: Nuwe oukie!
Welcome aboard Roeland!
Nah, you're far from rolling over backwards ... that takes some special effort (like rolling back on a steep incline and then hitting the brakes - or a rock). A forward roll-over is a little more likely because of the motor weight in front, but still not a high probability. At a guess you could look at about 55° which is quite steep. Sideways is the most common roll-over (the track is a lot narrower than the wheelbase). A standard Lux (unladen) should give you about 39° before it tips sideways. Of course raised suspension or any other mods that affect the centre of gravity will have some influence .... with 100mm suspension lift you will only get about 37° .... put a spare wheel on the roof-rack and that'll drop dramatically. The thing to watch for on side slopes is uneven surfaces, like the rock or mound that protrudes .... bump along over that on the higher side and it could tip you ..... same goes for the dip / ditch / depression on the lower side wheels.
All fine and well to stay within your comfort zone, but as you gain experience you become more confident .... this could bring you very close to roll-over while still feeling relatively at ease, but it takes a long time before you get that far.
Just enjoy for now, your natural pitch and yaw sense will kick in early enough, I'm sure.

When your road comes to an end ...... you need a HILUX!.
Life is like a jar of Jalapeño peppers ... what you do today, might burn your ass tomorrow.
Don't take life too seriously ..... no-one gets out alive.
It's not about waiting for storms to pass. It's about learning to dance in the rain.
And be yourself ..... everyone else is taken!

Bugzy,
Lyk of ek Saterdag gaan tyd hê om by RDW te gaan speel.
