What mileage on your HILUX 4.0L
Morning gents - My 2008 has 155 000km, 2nd owner and as far as I'm aware nothing replaced.

I have a 2005 model with 215000km. I think I am the 2nd owner. I had to replace the alternator outside of the normal services.

I do lots of gravel on a daily basis...and I have a heavy foot...
No real 4x4-ing as such (I suppose you are referring to the JHB okes that do weekend trips and engage LR?).
I engage that when I have to get the tractor unstuck and Isuzus...

2006 Auto - 207 000km op die klok. Second owner had it from 180 000km
Ek is at least 1 keer, party keer tot 3 naweke 'n maand iewers uit op 'n trail saam met die club of met Fundi. Ek vat haar ook gereeld Moz toe.
Issues sover is maar general maintenance en repairs agv van die off road en water ryery. Niks regtig groot skade nie.

My 2003 Prado 120, dieselfde enjin het nou 293500 km gedoen. Op 265000 km die waterpomp geruil en op 275000 die starter se borsels vervang. Doen die starter se instandhouding voorkomend of maak ten minste seker die boute kan uitkom aangesien die boute ge loctite is en vrek moeilik uitkom. Ek het drie dae in Windhoek gespandeer voor n onafhanklike werkswinkel die starter kon afkry. Pupukowitch Toyota het na 2 dae moed opgegee.

Ek het n 2007 model hilux net so oor die 200 000 tweede eienaar het bigend pully en seal vervang.Starter is oppad uit en propshaft moet gedoen word

buiten normale dienste:
1. head gasket gedoen twee/drie weke gelede (alreeds 2000km opgesit alles 100%)
2. nuwe clutch.
3. starter oorgedoen op 'n stadium
4. propshaft oorgedoen op 'n stadium
hier was nou die dag 'n ou by my en syne het 650 000km op...
wat ek julle kan se, met die motor oop, is dit duidelik gewees dat op 350 000 was daar bitter min visuele wear and tear...so ek glo ek is reg vir nog 350 000

Het met Toy gepraat oor die head gasket. Hy het nie gekraak of gebreek nie. Hulle reken oor tyd en kilos val die head gasket effens plat. Het nogtans maar die heads laat skim en valve en valve stem seals oorgedoen. Verder kan ek regtig nie kla nie. Bakkie het my nog noit gedrop of laat staan nie en selfs met die foutiewe head gasket nooit warm geloop nie. (Daar was altyd water in die radiator).

2006 model met 251 000km op, lyk nog pragtig en ek soek nog steeds 'n 4l Cruiser wat my kan vang.
2de eienaar met 'n vol diensrekord. Ek het 'n klein elektriese probleem gehad wat 'n maat in 10 minute opgelos het.
