Re: 4x4 Extreme Challenge 20 July Dirt & Dust
On one of the first obstacles of the day, one that no one could get out, we tried an extreme line, we were on balancing point and Werner asked me, "are we going back or are we going for it?" i replied "what the hell i'm not scared , plant it and let's see what hapens" The carb fed 4Y still re-started in this position and we tried to spin it back on it's wheels, but the roll bar was stuck on the one side.
The day was just mud, mud and more mud.
We didn't have such a good day, the 4Y just lacks the power and low down grunt of the KZTE and we took 4th for the day, but we'll get them next time.

There were some clowns showing us what there vehicle was capable of, they made doughnuts etc. in the spectator area;
They were asked to leave the premises, they did, at speed, showing what they were capable of;
Luckily it happened just outside the gate and only there images got hurt.

At least the 4Y is "reliable and indestructable" and the resale value is great...Hoppy wrote:We didn't have such a good day, the 4Y just lacks the power and low down grunt of the KZTE and we took 4th for the day, but we'll get them next time.
But seriously!! Well done Werner, 4th is a very good result for a young feller..especially seeing as you drive Luxter on its side more than on its wheels..

So I take it that the ALFA carb worked well?Hoppy wrote:On one of the first obstacles of the day, one that no one could get out, we tried an extreme line, we were on balancing point and Werner asked me, "are we going back or are we going for it?" i replied "what the hell i'm not scared , plant it and let's see what hapens" The carb fed 4Y still re-started in this position and we tried to spin it back on it's wheels, but the roll bar was stuck on the one side.The day was just mud, mud and more mud.
