Rand Easter show at Nasrec??

Post by grobbepj »

Did anybody attend the easter show at Nasrec? The kiddies and swambo is starting to wear my defences thin, but crowds and I dont mix that well.

Did anybody attend? Is it worth the effort and is there something worth seeing? I need very good reasons to go... But also some to stay :-)

Last year enjoyed seeing SANDF props (all they have $$$ for these days).
Finally left when we saw white lion cubs in a crummy wire enclosure in which I would not leave a rabid dog.
Show is not what it used to be... Or maybe I've just grown up....
I feel a lot less wise at 45 than I did at 15.

Agree with that. But from reading some ads, you might enjoy Hall 5, car hall, there are also stunts, classic cars and 50 years of Corvette celebrations. Who knows maybe you might enjoy that.

As a kid I loved the Rand Easter Show, Nowadays I would rather paint the courtyard (if I had one... ) than go to the Show. But it's a kids thing - do it! They will enjoy the rides and sites.

Toyotas het die slegte reputasie om by Nasrec weg te raak....

We went last year
and said we won't be back for a few years again

in our opinion, it's an oversized flee market, with the same product being displayed in different halls
then the crowds, however the big crowds are usually early evening

last year the army display was disappointing, not as good as the earlier years displays

the pool area that was part of the reason why we went there, is almost non existing nowdays

caravans and outdoors is minimal as the exhibitors say they would rather display at the outdoor and holiday shows

So yep for us it's also out
