Pressure build up in fuel tank
Morning gents,
On hot days (which is most days here in Limpopo) there is a build up of pressure in the fuel tank of my 87 SFA petrol.
I'm sure it has been covered before but anyone help with what I have to look out for?
Many thanks

Re: Pressure build up in fuel tank
Been discussed somewhere....you'll have to search I can't remember the topic, but it was fairly recent...
Have the same problem, breather hole in fuel cap etc all OK but still does it. Doesn't bother too much as I have an external pump for the EFi.
I just don't fill it up completely if the bakkie is not going to be driven for a few days....

Re: Pressure build up in fuel tank - replace breather?
Does anyone perhaps know where I can buy a new "breather valve" in Pretoria or Nylstroom? Cannot get one in Ellisras, not even from the stealers!

Re: Pressure build up in fuel tank
Drikus, ek is nie seker of dit 'n carbon filter is of wat nie nie.
Soos ek verstaan:

Re: Pressure build up in fuel tank
Re: Pressure build up in fuel tank
Remember that petrol expands in heat & evaporates.
With the extra petrol tank in you have double the amount of petrol with double the amount of expansion & evaporation.
The second tank should have its own breather pipe to assist in this evaporation...
