Glad nie goeie idee nie. Miskien een keer in nood geval maar jy gaan die battery vernietig as jy hom gereeld so gebruik.
Die deep cycle is bedoel om vir lang tydperk minimale stroom te lewer waar 'n cranking battery bedoel is om baie groot stroom oor kort tydperkte te lewer.

i had deep cycle battery to start my SFA... didn't know anything about batteries and i needed one, dad had this one laying about... and i put it in the bakkie.. started ok... drove with it for long while... prob destroyed the battery... replaced it before selling bakkie... still laying there in the garage... prob only good to melt down and make me some sinkers

AGM batteries can be used a start batteries also, and as a deep cycle, and maybe some other semi deep cycles. A real deep cycle, no its not a good idea.

Ek sal more gou kyk watter battery ek ingesit het, ek en George het besluit om ekstra groot batterye in ons Hiluxe gesit.
Die een wat ek nou in het is 'n 85 Ah
Ons wou die 102Ah battery insit wat ons in die winkel verkoop, maar hy was te hoog, terminals sou bonnet raak.
Daai 102Ah is maar baie soos 'n trok battery, sal nie skade doen as jy hom gebruik vir cranking battery.
Die een wat ek nou in het is 'n 85 Ah

Is 'n 668P wat ons ingesit het.
Hy pas in die 2.7 Hilux net so en in die KZ moes George sy positiewe draad verleng om hom in te sit.
Dit is egter high cycle battery.

Dis hoekom ek nie 'n deep cycle op die bakkie het nie, net die standaard ene voor en dan die AC Delco agter in. Met die DB system kan ek die 2de ene inskakel om te help start of as mens moet winch.
