Help with 1 UZ Lexus

Post by pietpetoors »

Does anybody know what bunch of wires these are, indicated in the pic, not very clear in the pic.

I noticed that those wires became hot and melted the isolation, one of then broke off.

The engine is still running.

Seems like they are running behind the timing belt, so it will be a mission to fix them, want to know if it is worth the hassle.

Seems like there are three bunches coming from behind the timing sprocket.
The naked wire I saw seems like it is only a ground wire because it seems like it is running into the cable which has two isolated wires and this one naked wire.

All of them goes to the grey plug in the picture which then connects to the main loom.

Anybody know what these are 4? Is my assumption correct that it is in fact an earth?

Another question I have; The engine smells of fuel. I see the rubber between some of the injectors and the fuel rail are slightly wet, can one just replace those rubbers? or is there something else I can do?
