Side Shafts

Guys I need some advise on how to determine if I broke a sideshaft. I know this might sounds stupid but I pulled a tree out in my front yard the other day and heard a fairly loud bang. My guess is I broke the left front shaft.
Please tell me how to test without stripping.

As far as I know the KZ has CVs in the front , and if broken you would be abel to see it.Have a look at the hub lock .As a test you can FREE the hub and just turn the prop shaft by hand and see if the CVs are turning ,then LOCK and try to turn it now ,it should not turn if it turns the hub is not locking or the CV is broken

Het jy toe reg gekom met die side shaft ding ,Wat was toe nou die fout?

Okkie dankie vir die reply .Ja ek het gedoen wat julle gese het en voel of alles reg is het nie eers besef hy het CV joints ipv side shafts nie wys jou min weet ek van die bakkie af. Sou seker al teen die tyd uitgaval het as dit gebreek was.
