SR Hilux - Canopy

Post by Andrew5336 »

Hi Team

On the most basic 2.4 GD-6 SR Hilux Double Cab with the older style bak (rolled lip with external hooks), is there a different fitting system for aluminium canopies as opposed to the other models with the smooth / flush exterior?

Just wondering if I change from one bakkie to the other if I will be able to take my canopy between models.

On my SR they just drilled holes into the bak and fitted the canopy. But the models with smooth exterior requires special brackets fitted to the inside of the load bin

Thanks!

Is the bin the same size across the top - Ground Zero say that they’re different?!

What canopy have you got on?

Andrew, I have a GoMad 4x4 canopy (from Cape Town). I am unsure about the sizing but won't be surprised if it is different.
