hello all
Couple of weeks ago started the truck in the morning no proble. Drove 1 mile to the shop and parked up. came out and it just wound over fine but wouldn't fire. I've since towed it back to my workshop where if you squirt a tad of easy start it tries to fire. There's just no fuel getting through . I've done all the obvious. Changed filter, blown back to tank etc. It bleeds up to the pump no problem. if it was the old mk3 I'd just change the stop solenoid but the electrical thing on the back of the pump looks more complicated and am I correct in believing tiyota use shear bolts when fitting this ? Can't find any fuses gone . it's just like the pump isn't opening to let fuel through.
Any help greatly appreciated.
Darren

Hi Darren,
Perhaps tell us which engine is in your truck?

The LN165 is either the 2L-T or one of the 2L/3L/5L family of diesel engines. As far as I know, they all use a manual diesel pump, not electronic. The only electric part is the solenoid valve on the diesel pump. I'd start with that.
Happy trails

Does the pump not has a small filter where the dieselpipe screws into the pump?

Not on my old 3L, but that's not necessarily the engine he has. Only one standard diesel filter.Thabogrobler wrote: ↑Tue Nov 15, 2022 8:00 pm Does the pump not has a small filter where the dieselpipe screws into the pump?
