Torque setting advice.

Post by KiwiHilux »

Hi there my name is Nigel and I live in Timaru which is in the South Island of New Zealand I recently joined this forum in the hope someone can help me with some questions I have about my Hilux. I own a 1989 Toyota Hilux LN106 2.8 litre diesel that I need to replace the leaf spring and shackle bushes in and also the driveshaft centre support bearing. I am wanting to find out what the torque settings are for the leaf spring bolts the 16 driveshaft bolts and the prop shaft centre bearing nut that holds the centre bearing to the front section of the rear shaft I believe this nut is 24mm in diameter. I am looking at replacing these parts myself and want to confirm the torque settings before I start taking anything apart. Any help regarding the torque settings for these three items would be greatly received. Thanks very much.
