3rz rebuild or cut out

I want to find out which is better amd more worth while to rebuild my current 3rz or to buy a Japanese cutout.

if so whats there to look for in both

By rebuilding at least you know what you have. A second hand motor is a whole other kettle of fish

Agree, the rebuild then you know what you have. I have seen too many times how the mechanics next to me fit a used engine, just to take it out and take it back to go swop it for another one. The engine sellers always say "no problem, something wrong, just bring it back" but it is you who have to bare the cost of install, remove and install again. If you rebuild you can use quality parts and replace everything.
