Grease gun nozzle

Post by Wayne »

As most of you know to grease the propshaft you need a grease gun with a nozzle of 8mm diameter or less.
I have been looking all over for a grease gun with a suitable nozzle with no success.
Does anyone know where one can get a suitable nozzle?
I live in Cape Town

The only ones Ive come accross at Midas and other spares shops is about 12mm dia.
Even engineers supplies only have the 12mm dia nozzle.
Do you find you can get to all the grease nipples with the standard nozzle?

I bought a manual grease gun for approx R 200.00 and it came with a standard fitting that I tighten onto the nipple and it works like a charm.....I think it has a 8mm nozzle....

I will be greasing my SFA front to back this holiday and just in general toying with it......

I would suggest only greasing the parts that is supposed to be grease... stay away from the headlights, windows etc etc.
Also only nipples om your car, your cat, dog and your :silent: :silent: :silent: does not need grease

While at it Johan.... remember to add plenty of grease in the front hub assembly. It doesn't have a nipple though. You remove a plug (nut) and the nozzle fits nicely in the hole.
