Re: Camil Suspension BlumTRD
Ek is nog onseker of Camil 'n goeie ding is.

Laai 80 kaste 2L op my bak ( 2L coke +-2kg + krat )
+- 960 - 1000kg .
Ek is baie gelukkig sover .
Maar ons almal dink anders ,
Gaan nou my lux verkoop en Land Cr kry

Re: Camil Suspension BlumTRD
One of our newbies Fransdw2002 (post something for us) recently fitted a Camil suspension on his 2007 IFS, 2007 SC, Hilux 2.5 D4D. I know that he had a good 5cm bodylift and he seems happy.

Hi Niel and every body! I am very interested in this topic especially ito the results on corrugated roads. I found Namibia's corrugations realy got the better of my 2x4 KZ. Tyre pressure did not seem to make much difference..I took some pics of the suspension that he had fitted last week. Hopefully we will be at the dunes on Friday /Saturday

Hy het n goeie body lift gekry glo my.

Those things look like they are very short on travel ... I would imagine that they limit articulation :problem:

I think not - die fotos spreek vanself.

Re: Camil Suspension BlumTRD
Mac, those pics, even though they don't show much, prove my point more than yours, I'm afraid. The first two vehicles (pics) show almost no articulation while the last shows at least some.
Remember, without decent wheel travel you can't have decent articulation, and the first restrictor of wheel travel is the shocks. They reach their full extension long before the srings do. The extension on my OME shocks is almost as long as the overall length of those Camil's!
I'm sorry mate, but I'm not convinced.

Re: Camil Suspension BlumTRD
Andy - I fail to see your argument holding any water - the first 2 vehicles ... the white one [aka BRUTUS is fitted with CAMIL shocks with coil over , the silver one is fitted with Iron Man [the same as OME - BUT look at the distance the wheel hangs out [down'] those distances [wheel travel] are the same
Then - The Patrol has OME fitted - and again, the "wheel travel' [how far the wheel can stretch away downwards - also The same as the two Hard Bodies
The articulation on the Patrol ... well, that is SFA and the Hard Bodies are IFS ... no comparison there.
But as far as shocks go - its the same as tyres ... and bakkies. I know the Nissan is the better product, you think your Toyota is the better vehicle. I fit Bridgestones only, the rest of my mates drive on BFG .
I like LINDT, my son prefers Cadbury.
Off topic?? ja wraggies ... dis laat ek gaan nou inkruip.
