I got it with the bakkie. It is a nice canopy but I don't like the idea that it flush fits to the cab. It basicaly removes the paint from the cab with the friction.

Is it made by Execucab? White Fand has one that does the same, cost a fortune when new. Very strong, good looking, but just that one little problem. I am wondering whether the canopy cannot just have a 'front' fitted to it?

Have you acquired another bakkie Eric!? .... White Fang / White Fand :D:

But ja, this chaffing of the cab paintwork was a common problem with that type of canopy. Anything's possible and with glass-fibre it should'nt be too difficult to marry a front panel to the canopy. Where the diffuculties lie is with the moulding of such a panel. So after all said and done, I think it would probably be more practical and maybe even cheaper to find another 'full' canopy instead.

I have actually "acquired" yet another bakkie, but by the name of "Oupa". ToxX4 has left his bakkie here and Bennie is installing the 'new' USA-type inlet manifold here at my home. But my keyboard was guilty pf that little oopsie...

I know we are off topic but we will delete again :)

Yes Eric. It is the Execucab. I believe Bennie has the same one but he's has a panel in the front and is not flush mount. I need to do the repair work on the paint then I will stick "Duck tape" before mounting the canopy. I believe this will stop the chaving.

Myself and Riaan negotiated and I will probably buy his old canopy. It is the more square shape and not flush mount. Will have to have it sprayed though.
