Hello From Bloemfontein
Hi All,
Thanks for a most informative 4x4 site you have here.
I am not so new to this forum, have been sitting on the side reading posts and watching developments with envy. Do not have a 4x4. My 2X4 Hilux with diff lock just have to do for now.
We are more into the overlanding thing, but then we love to turn off the beaten track ever so often to reach difficult spots en route.
Regards
Brollox

Hi Brollox,
Welcome to the forum! No big sweat about the 4x2, it is a most capable vehicle in standard form! Keep it as your "Touring Car" until you manage to grab a 4x4 SFA, the old shape Hilux. These things never die, they just carry on & on :)

ToyX4 - I agree, it is a nice bakkie. I will in future when funds allows again, upgrade to the SRX double cab 4x4.
Consumption - at a steady 110 km/h, 12 km/l. At 120 about 11.4 km/l. I don't know about the liters per 100 km.

Hi Sakkie, eintlik is ek Afrikaans. Dit knetter maar soms met die Engels. Ons moet een of ander tyd by Stuck in the Mud saamkom vir 'n bier of twee en vir Wade (iHilux) saamsleep. Wade, if you read this - we need another get together sometime soon.Sakkie wrote:Hi Cyril, welcome to the forum. Nice to have yet another Freestater on the forum.

A trip around the "baan", just to get dusty and work up a thirst, and then a "small" Hansa or two to settle the dust......
What you guys say? Sat or Sun?

Re: Hello From Bloemfontein
Sorry vir die stilte manne, ek was 'n bietjie uitstedig en het gaan visvang die naweek by kommandodrif. My naweke is redelik geboek tot in Januarie 2008, maar ek sal graag wil saamgaan stuck in the mud toe. My enigste kans is Sondag 9 Des, die middag. Daarna gaan ek op vakansie J-bay toe en gaan dan die Baviaanskloof aanpak.

Count me in!!

Re: Hello From Bloemfontein
Daai Sederberge trip klink goed.
Cheers

Wade
Change of plan, we are going to Landrover's 4x4 track on Sunday, will probably be a lot of guys. So meet us at 14:00 at the caltex garage opposite Pretty Garden in Langenhovenpark.
Apparently Landrover's track is very technical, would like to see if my 4x2 can conquer any obstacle.
Cheers

If it's a LD track, your Hilux should conquor ALL the obstacles.....Sakkie wrote: Apparently Landrover's track is very technical, would like to see if my 4x2 can conquer any obstacle.
