GUD or Toyota parts??

Hi all Hiluxers

I have a 2006 3.0l D4D Hilux and just read through my Mcarthy warrentee that I can service it at any RMI mechanic, I spoke to my mechanic and he uses most of the time GUD and if he cant find GUD he uses FRAM parts. Now my question is is it o.k. the use these parts for diesel, air and oil filters or must I stick to Toyota parts only???

And is there anybody recomendable the work on my Toy in the east rand that specialise in these hiluxes??

GUD is jou beste filter wat jy kry ek gebruik al GUD van dat ek kan onthou en het nog nooit probleme gehad nie Moet net nie Spirex fiters gebruik nie het oneindige probleme met hulle gehad op my 2.4D

I'd recommend that you contact McCarthy to confirm the fact that GUD/Fram/Donaldson can be used.

If I had a choice it would be in the following sequence:
Donaldson
Fram
GUD

I am open for correction, the Toyota original part is probably made by Donaldson Filtration.

Donaldson its the first time I heard of them is the same people that advertise above?

And yes it fine if I use GUD filter as long as its done by a RMI mechanic.

My friend works at the factory in durban, Toyota OE & GUD comes of the same line, only the paint differs.

Hoppy you're half correct there GUD/FRAM does make toyota filters but only on old models. The new ones like the D4D uses a Denso filter and looks completely different on the inside to the gud stuff and you can get a genuine filter from toyota for less than R100. I have a open one that came off my D4D some where ill see if i can take pics. My list will be:
-OE
-Fleetguard
-Donaldson
-Baldwin
-GUD/FRAM (same company/factory)

Dis wel nou nie in die oos rand nie maar Toyo Services 011-9556350 in die wes rand se werk is baie goed as my bakkie uit warborg is sien die agente hom nie weer nie en hy sal net soentoe gaan
