Re: Joburgs Finest - Invite
Thanks Cassie!
Yip, this is going to be a Big event!
It is focused around the free show and shine event which has the following categories open to any Toyota (car or bakkie):
Categories
Pre-1980
1980-1985
1985-1995
1995-2000
2000+
Outrageous Award
Neatest Award
Highest KM’s Award
Modified/Pimped
Based on the response from the Hilux 4x4 members we may add a category for "Most modified for off-road" or similar.
The car guys are not really aware of the accessories and toys available for 4x4 so it would be nice to see some of the Hilux members with kitted out bakkies attending.
There will also be various exhibitors present. Some of which have sponsored giveaways which will run all day ranging from t-shirts to smash-and-grab tint installs
Free rides on the current Toyota 4x4 range on the Urban Trax circuit, so we can see the capabilities of the newer vehicles.
Loads of activities for the family as well.
Oh, and get to see the Lexus LFA in the 'flesh'. Something which isn't readily available under normal circumstances.
Entry is FREE!
So, who will be joining us for a fun day out??

Re: Joburgs Finest - Invite
Preperations for the event have come along nicely and we have a really cool showcase of cars which will be on display. Something different from the norm.
Only thing we didn't manage to get is a fully modded Hilux. However one of the 4x4 accessory suppliers is bringing their kitted one! :)
OOOOh, and there is a special show with a certain Lexus (other than the LFA). Now this one is something that you certainly do not see on a regular basis!
Hope the guys who are in the area this weekend do make a turn at the show!

Hey guys,
Just a taste.
Here are some pics from the Gymkhana practice.
Although only the 2 MR2's are participating we couldn't resist a large open area and got a few other cars burning some rubber as well.

Re: Joburgs Finest - Invite
I just received a new invite to this event
Anybody up in Jo'burg who wants to display their souped up Hilux? (or Tuna or Prado, wonder why they dont mention Land Cruiser )
Anybody up in Jo'burg who wants to display their souped up Hilux? (or Tuna or Prado, wonder why they dont mention Land Cruiser )
Good day,
The Toyota Twin Cam Club of SA in conjunction with Rand Stadium Toyota
(RST) will be hosting the annual "Joburg's finest" show on 16 November
2013.
In addition to having all types of "souped up" Toyotas on display, we
would like to have a 4x4 or two included.
Please advise whether you have any modified Hilux/Fortuner/Prado etc.
which you would be willing to have on display as well.
The year model does not matter, as long as the vehicle is neat and
nicely kitted.
Regards,
Nishan Sitlu
